A serving size is however much you eat. If you're eating it as a main dish your serving size would be more than if you're eating it as a side.

The package gives you a serving size. Serving sizes are the same regardless if you are eating it as a main dish or a side dish. Just because you are having it as a main dish does not mean you get to eat more of it, unless you have enough room in your calories for the day.

A serving size of beans is generally half a cup-- that is a main dish. A side dish would be about half of that. Hope this helps.

What exactly are you asking here? The amount in a "serving size" should be included with nutritional information. If you are asking how much you should EAT - well, that depends on how many calories and lentils you want to eat. If you are asking what is the difference between 30 and 50 grams, you should measure that out to see.

The concept of 'serving size' is bogus.

    Eat what you want,
    log the weight,
    stay within your allowance.
