If you are at a standstill you need to change things up in order to see a change. Your body gets used to what you are doing.

In order to help you better people will need to see your diary.. see what you are eating and how much exercise you are doing.

try decreasing your calorie intake and increasing your exercise for about a week and see if that helps. I agree that you need to change things up.
  • Agree with now or never...you must switch it up. Swimming and biking are good low impact exercises. Also keep a calorie count if your serious because you're prob eating more calories than you think. It's simple math...burn more than you eat. So excercise more or eat less calories. Stay at it and stay positive set daily and weekly goals and you'll be fine. You can do it...you just want to have to want it more than not.

    i recommend calorie counting
  • DO you do video workouts like , turbo fire, turbo jam, insanity, hip hop abs etc. or do you do more strength training? Do you workout at home or a gym? I am a bigger girl, I weighed over 247 on Nov. 1st. I joined a challenge for shakeology and I am down to 214 today, I drink a shake every morning and I do hip hop abs or turbo jam, I have diabetes and my sugars were running out of this world, 500 to 600 and now they are down to about 200 and even some 180's in there. I make exercising fun!!!!! being in a group is awsome because you get the feedback from everyone. Oh my I forgot to introduce myself hahaha, I am tammy and I am 46, a mother of 4 grown children, the youngest being 19, I hve been overweight for half my life, and now I am totally into health and fitness, If I can help out in any way please hit me up.

"Burn more than you eat" isn't exactly constructive advice now, is it. That's probably the most offputting phrase I've ever encountered. How many calories do you burn at rest? What's the quality of food you're consuming? Is it typically high in refined carbs/sugar? Cause if so, you may as well forget about losing fat. Track what you eat for a week & view the values of each meal/food you consume & try to identify where you could be going wrong. If you're consuming high levels of refined carbs you'll need to change that. I've lost a stone in FAT in the past two months PURELY by eating healthy, cutting out almost ALL refined carbs & the only exercise i was doing is walking to my girlfriend's house 0.5miles each way 4x a week, and at an average pace. So all this "you must burn more calories than you consume" is, quite often, nonsense.

Obviously you'll see far better results if you exercise too, but I'd work on my diet firstly if I were you. It's what I did & I'm almost 2st down in around 4 months.

I could answer more effectively if you gave us some stats - how much are you eating each day? Age, weight, etc...

Get a digital scale and start measuring or weighin EVERYTHING that goes in your mouth that has calories. I find I get lax & if you're like me, you may be taking in a lot more than you've been recording.

Couldn't agree more, get used to calorie-counting & you'll make yourself far more aware of the amount/quality of food you eat. Personally I'd focus on eating healthier, because with that will come weight/fat loss.
