This has nothing to do with fitness, but I'm proud of myself, and there's no one around to strut for, so here goes!

I started going to school (I'm taking online classes through a university so I can finish while I'm enlisted) to get my bachelor's degree a couple weeks ago, after putting it off since I finished high school - I've been having some confidence issues, because I've been away so long, and have really gotten out of the loop, but I've just had my grades for my first papers returned, and I got full credit!!

What do you have to strut about?

Congratulations on going back to school!

What am I tooting about? The same thing! I went back to get my BS in BA after 20 odd years of being out of school! I know what that is like trying to work your brain after so long! But I did it and graduation 4 years ago...took me 5 years since I switched my major and added a minor. It was so funny going to school with all the younger kids. I definitely made a better student as an adult than I would have if I had gone right out of highschool. I skipped the partying instead of skipping classes, and graduated with an overall GPA of 3.7! But I did it! It's never too late to go back to school!

I agree, I'm probably a much better student than 18 year old me would have been! Thanks for sharing, that's really encouraging!

Good job on burning all those calories, that's one heck of a workout!

I went back to University in the UK at the grand old age of 39...celebrated my 40th by gaining my Master of Science with Distinction...not bad for an ex-Cavalry man!

Basic training...Always remember..."They're not allowed to kill me"..."I can stop running when I reach the top of this hill" (even if you can't)..."The sun'll come out tomorrow" (I think I may have stolen that one from somewhere!) and the all time classic "I WANT TO BE HERE"…

They're the things that got me through, not matter how tough, you can do it.
