Anyone taken Raspberry Keotones and lost weight?

I have heard all the hype about raspberry ketones. I am considering trying them to jump start my weight loss. Anyone tried them and had any success? Any side effects? I am 24 yrs old 5'5' and weigh 180. I am very uncomfortable and need to lose about 40 pounds to feel better.

it's junk. don't fall for "get thin quick" schemes or fad diets.

    eat less, move more.

log what you eat. know your BMR/TDEE. drink lots of water.

check out the Eat, Train, Progress group here to find alot of information on how to lose weight and increase your fitness.

By the way, I am about your height, started at 177 and am around the same age. I have lost 30 pounds in 7.5 months. Yes, I know, slow.... but it comes out to close to 1 pound a week and I feel MUCH better. I was very uncomfortable at that weight too. I decided fast loss was not healthy and part of the idea was to be healthy.

I don't believe in any fad diet stuff because #1 - typically expensve. #2- why pay for what can be accomplished better by diet and exercise.

Supplements might change your weight loss but insignificantly compared to changing diet and exercise. That being said, you can cancel the effects of a supplement just as easy by having just a few more calories.

You can add me if you like. My diary is usually pretty clean except the last couple of weeks due to holidays. ;) Might give you some good ideas.

Definitely not depending on them to lose weight. Just feel I need a jumpstart. I had a friend lose about 50 pounds while taking them and she said the weight fell off. I have started eating better but have a hard time sticking to it after a couple months. I have yo yo dieted over the last couple years and my weight has gone up and down a lot. My closet is size 4-12. I need to find something to keep me motivated.

^ This. Take a look through the threads in the "Success Stories" forum and see how many of them attribute their success to Dr. Oz, any quack "get thin quick" potions, fad diets and/or starvation (hint: a microscopic portion, if any). As others have said - maintain a reasonable caloric deficit and mix in some exercise.

    google "placebo effect".

they don't work. the only thing they will make lighter is your wallet.

if you want to jump start your weight loss, it's really simple. calculate your BMR/TDEE. set yourself a moderate deficit (maybe 500 or 750 calories per day). start doing long walks/jogs/runs. you can easily lose 5-10 lbs in January just doing this. you won't have to deprive yourself of foods you want to eat. you just have to learn to fit them into your daily calorie goals. the key is logging. most people think they eat far fewer calories than they really do. the only way to find out what's the proper amount of calories to eat each day is to log them.

Pills aren't going to help you quit yoyoing. Learning sustainable practices for health and fitness both in diet and activity are what help you quit yoyoing. The recommendations you have recieved thus far are the ways to establish said sustainable practices. It works and it doesn't cost any extra either.

My closet was 22-13. I am down to 14's. I keep one smaller article of clothing on my bedroom door (right now, a size 13 jeans) to keep me motivated. But, TBH, the biggest motivator is the results.

Most diet gimmick advertisements says to take their stuff along with eating a healthy diet and doing exercise. I wonder why? ;)
