Inner and outer thighs?

What are some good muscle building moves for the legs, especially those two areas? I have body weight, stretchy band, swiss ball and dumbbell's to work with. I know you can't spot reduce, but I want to build, then lose what's covering them after building.

hi...the best exercise, overall, i have found for thighs is running...or walking...this cardio also helps with all over fat reduction...squats and lunges will also help...best of luck to you !0

Google exercises for abductors and adductors if you want to firm these areas.0

lunges! also try Jillian Michaels' Killer Buns and Thighs. i haven't tried it myself, but i heard it really worked0

squats with dumbbels (and straight back!) with legs further apart than shoulders until you can't squat no more - your inner thighs will burnnn next day!0

also if you want to tone your inner thighs, do the squats in a plie position. it will give your inner thighs an extra burn!0

My thighs, except for a little area on the inside, are pretty darn good. For probably 6 of the last 11 months, I did nothing more than walking on the treadmill at an incline. About 5 months ago I added in the hip adduction and abduction machines. About 2 months ago I started doing barbell squats--they are good for shaping your booty too! I used to have a flat booty, but it is starting to get nice and round.0 -
Squats and lunges, squats and lunges, squats and lunges... With weights, without weights, legs apart, legs close (meaning squats for those last two) ... Little lunges, big lunges, walking lunges ... Did I mention squats and lunges? Ha. But I also agree that cardio (walking, running, dancing, etc.) will help make your legs stronger as well!0

I really want a more lifted round bum, too. Mine is flat and very jiggly.....lol same with my thighs.0 -
I have been in and out of shape for like EVER. I am a huge hiker and backpacker and never found walking helping my inner legs..my legs tend to get bigger....I think the key is what I was doing before WEIGht training and making sure you are in you target weight range..0

I'm in Hamilton too, and I do the wentworth or chedoke stairs. As many times as you can. It's brutal but effective0

In my opinion the very best way to reduce fat and build long muscles on the thighs is skating -- either ice skating or inline skating. Also try a cardio ballet class or dvd.0
