I've been a member on MFP for 3 and a half years now and was living proof that calorie counting worked. I got down to my goal weight twice, but once that happened, I stopped tracking. I know tons about health and fitness (but am in no way a professional!), so I know exactly what to do, I just don't want to do it.

I'm just looking for new friends on here to help motivate me and for me to also motivate along the way.

A little about me: I'm 21 years old and live in California. I follow a lenient view of clean eating, love running, and even ran a half marathon this past April. I am looking to get into yoga so if you has any wisdom to share on that topic, I'm listening :)

Oh, and I'm 5'7, 200+ pounds, and apple shaped, for anyone interested in friends with similar body shapes.

I accept all requests :)

Heck yes girls! It is SO worth it at the end. All we need is a little determination and motivation.

I am glad you are starting again, it is never too late! I'm Stacey, 48, live in Washington State. My weight problems began when I was pregnant. The day I had him I was 216. I was very unhappily married and just kept on with the weight gain. My top weight was 265. About 6 years ago I went from working in an office to working an 8 hour am shift at McDonalds and 6 to 8 hours pm at Pizza Hut. I was moving constantly, sleeping 3 hours a night and the weight started falling off me. In eight mogainnths I lost 110 pounds. Went from a 28W to 8, the smallest I had been in my life. I felt great! Lots of energy, Loved shopping for cute clothes. Then in April 2010 I hurt my back at work. Had to start working less hours because I could barely walk. Sleep was almost impossible because of the pain. I started eating to soothe myself. I finally had back surgery 8 months later in December and weighed 199. My mom passed away a week before my surgery so I came home in major pain and ate and ate and ate. Gained 40 more pounds in 2 months! Surgery did not help my back and screwed up my legs. Spent the next two years laying on the couch. Finally had another surgery on Halloween this year. I weighed 240 and promised myself I would not gain more weight after this surgery. Imagine my surprise when I went to the doc and saw I had actually lost weight! So, here I am, serious about getting it off again and keeping it off this time. Add me as a friend, I am just starting physical therapy so I am just starting the exercise but I am working hard to stay under calorie limit. I try to be supportive and am always here if you are struggling or just want to chat.
