Hey can anyone tell me how many calories you would burn using a 5lb weighted hula hoop for 20 minutes.

    I had heard once (and I don't remember where) that regular hoola hooping for 30 mins burns 300 calories. I am not sure if this is true....

    Also, I believe fitday.com has some activities and calories on it...

    I want one of those! I saw it on the shopping channel, and it looked like a lot of fun. I would log it as Aerobics, general.

    hey i recently got into hoop dancing/hooping! im not sure my hoop is 5lbs...it feels it, its made of tubes and tape (custom made!) but i read that 10 minutes is 100 calories about hooping! its fun and easy! I bought mine from a girl who makes them custom @ www.outtathiswhirld.weebly.com
