Protien/whey powder, creatine, and supplements

I've been working out (lifting, cardo, aerobics, etc.) consistently for the past 4 months, and have seen pretty good results. I see people all the time taking shakes/powders/pills that improve there physique, mass, and strength. I'm just curious what someone would recommend to a college guy in good shape.

The ones you will see the most results out of is just a classic protein powder. A lot of people swear by creatine, I have done 3 month cycles on it and not seen any benefit from it. Vascularity pills (NO supplements that have L-arginine) really get your pump going as well. I'd recommend BSN NO-xplode or Jack3d for that, but really start with a low dose because it can mess people up who try to take to much.
I used to be into all these supplements and crap, but really I can tell you after using them for a couple years and now having stopped using them, nothing beats a constant good diet, constant exercise, and protein shakes.
Although I still do use the occasional NO-xplode (or Jack3d works just as well if not better) just to get me through one of those days where you don't want to get off the couch.0 -
That's pretty much what I've been thinking. Just starting off on whey protein should be a good start (and within my budget). Thanks for the advice0

A decent brand of triple whey in your morning oatmeal and post workout is great! Just don't get suckered into buying a less expensive one to save money because you just end up wasting it. I spend about $65 on mine but it has roughly 65 servings so it does go a long way. If you need to shed any "layers" (which from the looks of it you don't) a lean protein at morning and afternoon snack times is good too. I also drink a metab booster/hunger supress/mood enhance/energy mix drink in the morning too cause I'm not a morning person plus it has alot of good herbal type stuff in it lol. Sounds like you are on a good track so keep up the good work!0
