so our treadmill (would have been 8yrs old in feb) started with a slipping belt this past july (7.5 yrs old) and we tried to fix it ourselves but to no avail - it's still slipping and now the belt is crooked.....it's been sitting unused in the corner of our bedroom since...

i have debated having a sears serviceman come out to take a look and possibly repair but not sure it's worth the $101 for the service call to start....the new season of biggest loser starts in just under 2 weeks and i have not watched that show without doing a workout in probably 3-4yrs....i just can't watch it unless i'm doing a run or a walk on the treadmill in my bedroom....

anyway, i need suggestions for an affordable treadmill for my bedroom that wont break the bank but will last me as long as my Pro-Form ZO 542 from sears has....i like that the one i have folds up but we honestly never fold it up now that it's in our bedroom and no longer in the living room...intervals are good but i dont need them...i like varying inclines and speeds....

suggest away my fitness pal peeps...

I've had great luck with NordicTrack products. If you check their website they often have sales on discontinued models (got my elliptical for 1/2 price) and they deliver right to your home. I have a Proform Treadmill and I wouldn't buy another one. It's super noisy and my belt is slipping a bit as well.

Check craigslist. We just got a gym-quality stair climber for $500, retail is over $2000.

I have this treadmill and I love it.

I like that it has the custom workouts and a port for my iPod. Also the bonus Jillian Michaels workouts are great.

I am waiting for a Nordic Track 2450 to arrive. Did a lot of research before ordering it. http://www.treadmilldoctor.com/ and http://www.treadmillreviews.net/
  • I just got a NordicTrack 1750. did a bunch of looking, trying and research and decided this was the one for us. Put the 5 year service warranty on it and got ifit for 2 years. It was right at $1800 for all of that. I am very happy with our decision.

I agree with the others. Nordic Track is the way to go! I think we have the Nordic Track T 5.7.
