Please Help Me lose weight

Hello i have been trying to lose weight my whole life but i fail dieting and exercise only in the first week and now motivated to do this more than ever i am from somalia and i wear "44" inch jeans i cant live like this as i have a huge bum also i am a male, weigh 238 pounds and im 6 ft 1 i want to be 175 pounds and by december

i want to ask a few questions

1.does it matter what you eat unless you meet u calorie target
2.would i lose my big bum as its flabby
3.is it bad to lose 3lbs a week or should i lose 2lbs
4.is subway healthy for breakfast
5.to maintain my weight i need 2500 calories and if i eat 2000 calories would that mean i lost 1 lbs aweek

  • dear san. yes i think it does matter if u eat anything ,because u have to watch the fat , u will have to exercise extra hard!
    and if u r like me i hate to exercise.
  • With what ive read the bigger you are the more pounds you loose at first so i think its health to loose 3 pounds a week , you can loose you big bum , you dont have to stave your self or strees about weight take it easy do the right thingslike
    drink lots of water before meals and during the day .
    go to the gym do some cardio , and weight , dont over do it keep adding on weight with time .

    It does matter what you eat , stay away from anything white , bread , rice , etc.
    fried foods stop them , eat greens , green tea , stay way from sugar .

    am writting this not because i ready it but because i did it and i lost weight so i believe you can do it .

    Hi San! I am old enough to be your grandma, and I have lost 171 pounds since August of 2011. Here are my opinions about your questions:

    1.does it matter what you eat unless you meet u calorie target

    To lose weight, you only have to eat fewer calories than you burn, so it doesn't matter where the calories come from. HOWEVER, to be HEALTHY, you have to eat nourishing food that is low fat. The best foods are vegetables, whole grains like oatmeal and brown rice. High fat foods are not good for you. Sugary foods are not good for you. To be both be healthy AND lose weight, you have to choose healthy foods.

    2.would i lose my big bum as its flabby

    If you lose weight, your bum will get smaller. HOWEVER, it can still be flabby, even if you lose weight, unless you exercise, too.

    3.is it bad to lose 3lbs a week or should i lose 2lbs

    I don't remember the current recommendations for healthy weight loss, but it isn't a race. It is easy to lose weight rapidly by eating way too little, but then the weight comes back on as soon as you start eating normally again. The only thing that really works is to develop a "new normal", by limiting high calorie foods and choosing healthier, lower calorie foods. Small changes add up over time.

    4.is subway healthy for breakfast

    In my opinion, Subway is not healthy for breakfast, but then, I am into seriously healthy foods. The problem with subway is that the bread is processed, and the meats usually are, too, and the vegetables aren't organic. Lunch meat type foods usually have bad stuff in them, even turkey lunch meats. Try a whole grain cereal, like rice or oatmeal, maybe with a piece of fruit. Even some whole wheat toast and a hardboiled egg, if you need something fast to grab on the run. I usually eat a sprouted buckwheat cereal. I will even eat vegetables for breakfst, steamed with a bit of rice! Subway is probably better tham some of the other fast food breakfasts, but it is far from best!

    Yes, that sounds right to me!

    Good luck, and choose healthy foods! What good would it do to be skinny but unhealthy?
