It really changes your body in a good way.... I'm still to chicken to post pics but in 4 weeks and 4 days I lost 16.6 inches in total and lowered my body fat by 3% by using weights and strength training!0

I lost 20 pounds doing circuit training. I have just started a different strength training workout where I actually do 30 minutes of weights on certain days. I'll let you know how it turns out. Been a week and I have lost 2 pounds.0

I'll have to post pictures in a little bit...but I have been lifting for 2-3 months. The scale hasn't been moving very fast, but pictures show a BIG difference.
ETA: not the best picture, but it should show what I am talking about

I have been strength training since February 2012, a mix of circuit training and lifting 4 times a week. I have a PT I use once a week.
I found that I got to the dress size I wanted but at a higher weight than I had anticipated (I had been at that dress size when I was younger but weighed 20 lbs less). I had a lot of weight to lose, and I took up strength training as I noticed I was flabby after losing 70% of my goal weight loss through just cardio. Strength training has improved my muscle tone, and I have little loose skin. I ended up adjusting my weight loss target up, as I did not wish to drop another dress size.
I have not taken any before or after pictures, but there are some normal pics on my profile.
Personally, I love strength training as an activity and for how it makes me look and feel. I would recommend it to anyone.0 -

I don't have pics to journal my success, but since I've switched from purely cardio to heavy weight training with little to no cardio, my transformation has been awesome! I LOVE the results I've gotten- I started in May and I've loved it ever since. I've actually put a few pounds back on in muscle (that's my goal now, I've already hit my weight loss goal).
I recommend Bodybuilding.com if you're just starting out. They have tons of good articles for beginners, as well as some really good programs. I just started the Y3T program, before that I was doing Laura Bailey's muscle building program- saw awesome results with that one. I highly recommend checking out that website for some really useful info!0 -
Wow, congrats to everyone keep up the fantastic work and thanks for sharing!!0

Girl crush on you!0 -
12 months ago I weighed 136kg. I am 90kg now. Weightlifting mostly, can't do cardio cos of knee problems (bone on bone). I have given myself another 7lb to my original target of 112lb, but I think I want to lose another 14lb over the next YEAR whilst building strength and giving my skin time to catch up after 30 years of being stretched!
