Taco Salad!

Good morning everyone!

Yeah, we made it, it's Friday!

Anyway, tonight my husband and I are having tacos, well he's having tacos (traditional full on shelled tacos), and I'm going to make a taco salad with a few tortilla chips (like 4-5).

. . . . . . BUT . . . . . .

I do not want to use my packaged Old ElPaso taco mix. Even the low/reduced sodium package has a butt load of soduim.

SO

I am wondering if, like with chili, does anyone have a homemade taco seasoning that I can use tonight that is low in sodium?

Thank you!

wish I did.. sorry :( Sounds like you do the same thing with your husband as I do with mine! He has bbq hamburgers, I have a bbq chicken breast on a whole wheat bun. It's a lot easier to make the adjustment then some people think :)

Oh -- these ingredients sound great! Thanks for the idea!

Thanks for posting this question... I've been wanting to replace my taco seasoning packets for a while and have been just too lazy to figure out a recipe for it! =)

Oh yeah, it is super easy. I used to not eat any meat at all, so I've been in a way making 2 meals in 1 since my husband and I got together 10 years ago.
