Ok - well here goes I live is SE London Penge/Croydon/Beckenham borders and would love to find some local friends to either run or cycle with (I am just getting into running and can just manage 5k ish but feel having some companions at a similar level would encourage me to progress and of course it would work both ways) I love cycling and would love to also fins some cycling buddies to ride with.     have you heard of Parkrun? This is a free 5k running event that takes place all over the UK (I think!) on a Saturday at 9am. I have been going to the parkrun in Cambridge for a couple of years and its fab. Would be a great way for you to meet other runners, and its a very friendly, supportive place to start running. Maybe look up local parkruns in your area? http://www.parkrun.org.uk/
