Hi! I'm Sandy. Jesus is the lover of my soul & Scott is the love of my life. I'm a Social Worker by profession, a musician by the gift of God, a blogger for self-therapy, and a student of the Bible.

My husband & I are attending theological school in anticipation of our retirement in 7 years. We want to be the uncompromising hands and feet and arms and eyes of Jesus Christ in a lost and hurting world.

We are starting 2013 by eating better and becoming healthier. As we start the year off by putting our house on the market and moving into an apartment to downsize and get rid of the extra stuff in our life, we also start the preparations to become empty-nesters in the next couple of years. We are using MyFitnessPal.com & the Android app to help us keep track of what we eat and how we exercise.

My goal is to lose 2 lbs a week. I'm hoping to add exercise into the routine as well, but that will come a little slower. I look forward to meeting some of you and I look forward to a leaner, meaner self for 2013.

    Welcome.

    Good idea, I did the same thing. I concentrated real hard on changing my eating habits and seeing the scale move down and waited until my body was ready to exercise. It happened in 8 weeks and I started exercise and the exercise combined with weight loss has changed my life forever :)
