No More Fat Kid! *pic heavy*

Dec 2011, I decided that I was sick of being the fat kid. My dad had lost a lot of weight and when he weighed 213. I decided that I was going to get myself into gear. I started off slowly by making little changes. (stop drinking pop, walking a mile, start recording my food) As I made progress, I started creating new goals for myself. I added DVDs to my workout routine, decided the elliptical wasn't going to kill me any more, and planned my meals and snacks. I was doing really well and made a big life decision and take a new job 500 miles away. I joined a gym that was right next to my work, got a personal trainer, started running, and incorporated more strength training. In the new year, I am looking forward to lifting more and seeing what else I can do! The best part of losing the weight was gaining confidence!

Starting weight: 213.2
Current weight: 130.6

Great job! I know the feeling of having to relearn how to dress for a new frame. I worked retail clothing for years and there is a trick to creating the ideal shape at any size. When you are on the more petite side open up your neckline and take the hem up by about 2 inches and it will lengthen your frame. V necks are particularly good at making you look longer and leaner, just remember the most important part is a good foundation so be sure the girls are up and together (had to replace all my bras going from 218-120). Oh and throw back those shoulders and be proud! You have really accomplished something!

    Here this would look nice

Thanks everyone. For those who are just starting out, I promise that you can do it! It's not always easy, actually it's hard a lot of the times, but you can do it!

You look stunning on that black dress, wear something that is on the same length as that one. Try vertical stripes or monocromatic styles to elongate you more and making you look taller. Avoid wide belts, horizontal stripes, large print designs and baggy clothes/pants as those only create a shorter stature. Look up on some fashion magazines or online fashion articles on the best clothing styles for petite women. I'm also short at 5'2 so I totally understand where you came from.

By the way what an awesome transformation, congrats!
