Halfway there

I'm a new poster but have been using MFP for the last 45 days or so. (Yes, I started the monday before Thanksgiving) During that time I have lost 23 lbs, halfway to my goal of 47 lbs.

My story is pretty much the standard one. I'm a 40 year old ex athlete (football and baseball) and father of three. As my kids commitments grew the time for me got less and less and the pounds went on. Before I knew it the scale said 257.4. Some friends showed my wife and I how to use MFP and with her on board off we went.

So now I'm ready to make the push to reach my goal. I can always use some more friends on here to help me make it through so feel free to add. Now for the pics.

    WOW, I don't think in all the years I have known you, I have ever seen you look so good! Your face is so much thinner! Fantastic!! Steve and I are very proud of you, but most importantly, I know how proud Tracy is and how proud you must be of yourself!!!

    I can speak from experience, this last 20 pounds is a real *****!! LOL

    That same shirt was pulling around the mid section in the first photo. "The wife" as Steve would say, was right. lol
