New Year's Resolutions

Obviously, since this is MFP, a lot of us are resolving to lose weight/develop a healthy lifestyle. I am wondering what others are doing besides that. I resolved to take better care of my battered toes. I also made some resolutions about work that no one probably can relate to. Please share what you have resolved over and above the usual lose weight resolution.

I don't make new year resolutions.....I think you should change or do things because you want to at any point in your life, why wait for the new year, pointless.

    1. Overall greatness
    2. Use tape measure instead of scale
    3. Do an aerial (aka no handed cartwheel)
    4. Do a back handspring
    5. Meet at least one of my MFP friends.
  • NewYears & Desolving! oh oops Resolving!!
    1) Save enough money to go to Germany in 2013!! (I just need airfare & fun money)
    2) De-Clutter my life (home, brain, Hard drive ALL of it!!)
and my 3rd unofficial & probably least likely is
    3) Be less Negative with myself. I've always been 3 times as hard on myself than I ever would be on anyone else. I need to be more positive about ME. I think it's a good goal - just my negativity is pretty rough!! :o)

How is starting somewhere "pointless"? Who cares if it's because of a new year? Just start.

Other than my fitness related goals, I've resolved to do something nice for someone every day of 2013. Not just kind words, but an actual act of kindness.

Add fast food to the bar and I'm in.

Im going to get a job at a major magazine, shoot on location for an editorial piece, get some images published in print, dominate a spartan race, design a gown, a dress and a pair of shoes, raise 5K for my charity and hike into the Grand Canyon and finish school.

    BAM.

I suppose you could call it a resolution, but I think of it more as a goal...

Less alcohol consumption...that's about it I guess. And to keep on keepin' on with my diet and fitness goals.

Besides continuing to eat better and workout more, and do more yoga and strength training:

    - continue to focus on paying off my debt.
    - make more effort to see certain friends more often
    - read more books

    Never surrender my dignity.
    Laugh more, worry less.
    Love more, judge less.
Treat myself the way I want others to treat me.
Be more grateful & have very few rules for others.
