The store I shopped at today didn't have the light salad dressing that I like, so I thought I would try making the original dressing lighter and it turned out very nice. I was surprised that using light mayo and 1% milk plus thinning it with an extra half cup milk would shave off so many calories, but it did.

What is the advantage? Is it lower cal? I looked at Greek Yogurt and it didn't seem very low cal. I'm not a yogurt fan and hubby is an outright hater.

its better than mayo. its the fat free one you have to get, cuz yeah i was looking at some of them and they are kinda high in cals. also works well to replace sour cream in recipes.(:
  • I do like ranch. I will give it a try. I have made it before with just the ranch packet and low fat buttermilk. It added flavor to my salad but was runny.
    Thanks for posting

have you tried this with Greek Yogurt and skim milk? I haven't calculated the calories but have made it and it is great! You need the milk to thin it out since the Fage is so thick. It gives you a healthier choice than the mayo and more protein.
