My friend and I want to run a 5k in May. I am currently not a runner and would like tips on how I can be ready in five months. Does anyone have good tips or ideas?

I have seen a number of people post this one:

It's a couch to 5K program. I ran my first 5K two years ago and a few months later ran my first 10K and learned to run 10-12K 3-5 days a week.
It took a year and a half to get there, you just need to start slow and steady, learn to pace yourself. Pacing can feel like your jogging or walking fast but over time your pacing will increase in speed and you will be able to run a 5K non-stop.
I do hope you find some great information on how to do so, I am more of a run with others to learn kind of girl and was how I got it done myself. If you are the same maybe find a running clinic or group in your area and get started that way0
