Leslie Sansone

anyone have any experience with Leslie Sansone workouts? Specifically the ultimate 5 day walk plan? Is it only for old people or newbs? Or doesn't it matter as long as I am sweating and pushing myself? Please no negative comments, I am recovering from depression, have OCD, ADD and just got over anorexia. I am 18 120 pounds, 5'7" and I mostly want to maintain and tone. I don't like any exercises that exhaust me and make me feel like dying, because I think that is part of what started my anorexia and fear of exercise. I also encorporate fitness blender routines to tone (for the ones with hand weights, I use up to 10 pounds on certain moves.)

I love Leslie Sansone workouts. I have a collection of them. It's a great way to incorporate exercise into your life and in the privacy of your home. As long as you're burning calories you can do whatever you are comfortable with! Plus, you don't have to drive anywhere and can workout at literally whatever time of day or night works for you! I think it's an excellent choice! Def. not for only old people, I am 32, I work up a sweat doing them and they have contributed to my weight loss at different times in my life, enjoy them!

I use Leslie Sansone workouts. They can be for newbs and old people, but you can definitely push yourself for a stronger workout. I like them a lot.

I have Leslie's 1, 2, and 3 mile walk DVDs. I play them when the weather's too bad to get to the gym. Her workouts are pretty straightforward and easy to keep up with, there's no elaborate steps or jumping around. What I also like about her DVDs is that she encourages you to work at your own pace, as long as you're moving. Highly recommended.
  • I also have a couple of her DVD's and I do work up a sweat. I really enjoy them and glad I purchased them.

I LOVE Leslie Sansone...I'm 36 and I work up a sweat when I do the walking videos.
  • I did my first Leslie Sansone workout yesterday and omg, she is great! I was sweating and feeling the burn for a long time. I love it and can't wait to do more!

I've got sciatica and bad knees, so sometimes I use her videos when I'm having a bad day. You can go at your own pace, don't have to worry about complicated moves, and you can really just make them as hard or as easy as you want.

I also have a "thing" (call it a fear, I guess) about working out too hard and feeling like I'm dying, so I'd definitely recommend her videos to you, because it's not really challenging at all if you're not too out of shape or overweight.

Leslie Sansone walk away the pounds series is a great workout. You will not be exhausted but rejuvinated by her workouts!

You will sweat, you will feel muscle burn, but you will not get wiped out, at least I dont feel that way.

    Good luck!

thanks everyone! When I do them, I sometimes go into a jog or a really faster pace if I think I can push myself, and I jump and such, so I really get tired and sweaty, but it feels great! I tried to do Jillian Micheals 30 DS a few months ago, and hated it. I dreaded every workout because I knew I would feel like I was going to die, and Jillian (and her abs) made me feel so inferior and like I was never good enough. Leslie makes me feel just the opposite. With her I feel like I can push harder and try my best, and I sweat! So, if I just keep pushing as hard as is comfortable for me, her workouts should suffice?

Well, you are doing at least 30 minutes at a time I assume, and if you are sometimes jogging and increasing intensity and sweating, it's all good. When it started being easier for me, I added some hand weights and do some or all of the workout holding the weights. I have had good results. It burns calories just like any cardio does.

I like her workout for the days I don't think I can work out. When I'm feeling stressed or very tired, her workouts are awesome. They get your heart up without any stressing over choreography. I also like Debbie Rocker's Quick Start Walking for Weight Loss for when I need a slightly harder workout. It's more high impact than Leslie Sanson's (I need the sports bra), but since it's only 25 minutes, I can push through it.

I love walking with Leslie. She is encouraging, motivating and upbeat. I have her Walk off the pounds: A mile each morning and Walk it off and Tone it up dvd's and I love them. I can usually only walk one mile, sometimes, two. Leslie's walk dvd's are for people of all ages. I am middle age and benefit from them. Walking is one of the best exercises and Leslie's dvd's has light cardio so we get a pretty good workout from them and they are low key, not intense like 30 day shred. I am doing that, too.

Leslie's walk dvd's are great for those who are new to exercise and those who are out of shape like me.

Love her DVDs - I have 5 Day Slim Down and 4 Mile Power Walk and do them 4 to 6 times per week (usually pick 2 miles from the 5 Day Slim down and throw in the 4 mile walk every now & then). They've been my sole source of exercise during my weight loss. I reached my goal and am more toned than ever before in my life, so I'd say they do the job. :)
