Hey guys, looking for a bit of assistance. I have to go out to dinner tonight for my sister's birthday. She's taken to insulting me when I fuss over the menu, of late, so I was hoping to pre-choose my meal so I can not draw too much attention to myself. Very unhappy to see that they don't have any nutritional information. Not sure whether to go off the US nutritional info or not.
Anyone have any ideas of what might be a good choice? I've been burnt by "lifestyle choice" items in the past (back before coffee club had calories listed on the menu, I chose a lifestyle choice item, only to discover it was the worst thing on the menu at around 1000 calories.) Any idea as to how comparable to international versions they are?
(As a side note, in Australian menus, any idea how 2 pieces of corn at nandos can equal 500 odd calories? Do they inject each kernel with oil?)

Do they have the dragonfire salmon? It's on the website at about 700 cals.
Or else go for a grilled steak.
Do you need a starter and dessert choice too?0 -
sirloin salad ftw..
the steaks are way big and the sides aren't lo cal either.
sisters, eh?0 -
i say screw it. its your sisters birthday and they have them what, once per year max?
go for it and make it up over the rest of the week.0 -
skip a starter, go for either steak or salmon or chicken - with a side salad instead of fries, and say a big NO to pudding!
or, do a biiiiiiiiig workout that morning, and enjoy 3 delicious courses (i LOVE TGI's burgers even though they are over 1000 calories a plate!!!) and then get back on it the next day!0 -
Thanks guys, I guess I posted a bit late (I was suddenly panicking about 3 hours before dinner that I couldn't find a nutritional guide). Went to TGI fridays, pinched a couple of starters from the others, and went with the key west shrimp which couldn't have been too high in calories - it was one of the few lighter choices that they also have on the US menu, so that was helpful. Going off the American values, but very aware that they're often very different.0
