Yes, it gets better! You see results really quickly too. I have done it a couple of times, and the first 2 or 3 days KILL, but after that, you will find it much easier. Keep going through the pain, it's worth it!

    I'm on day 2. I hurt :)
  • I know the feeling! I gained that much after my little one too and was super frustrated with how out of shape I was. But, remember, you body was building another human being so, be patient. That is no small task and takes time to get back to where it was. It does get better. Keep at it!

I hated 30DS when I first started it, but now I love it! It's a great workout that you can squeeze in if you don't have a lot of time. I say stick with it, it will get easier and you will start feeling stronger. Do the easier movements in the beginning and don't move up a level until you are comfortable. If you have to do level 1 for 30 days instead of 10, so be it. Good luck!!

The Shred is a hate/love program. It kills, but its a great workout. As long as you do what you can and eat clean you will see results. Keep pushing! :-)

I did Day 2 of Level 1 today!!! Ow! My abs and shoulders hurt! So much that the pushups seem impossible!! But the results I've seen from other people are so amazing!!! I'm sticking with it!!!

Definitely gets better and you do see results. I don't tend to do it everyday consecutively as probably should be done, but it is a great way to workout without a lot of time when you need to do that. When I did it several years ago, I never got above level 2 but again, still saw results. So just stick with it at the lower intensity level and only move up if you are not being challenged by level 1. Good luck!

It gets better. As long as you do it consistently. Missing days makes it feel like you're starting all over again! But it is a great feeling when you can see yourself improve and getting easier! There's no shame in having to take a break for a second. At first I needed to pause the DVD so I could take a water break after practically every exercise! Just stick with it. I love Jillian's workouts. I have almost every single one now! And Bob! He's killer too!!!

When you get to about day 6 or 7 it starts feeling a LOT easier. You'll be amazed at how much your strength and stamina increase throughout the 30 days. It's designed for beginners, don't worry. Everyone feels like that at first. Persevere with it and you'll see amazing results, I did :)

Edit: I forgot to mention, DO IT EVERY SINGLE DAY. If you miss a day, you will regret it the next day, believe me. It's like you're starting all over again, like the user above said. Don't make an excuse as to why you can't do it one day, just do it!

    ^^^This. Sadly.

It does get better though. About day 4 or 5 you will no longer feel like you're going to hurl your diaphragm. Hang in there!

I finished the 30 day shred just after Christmas, and did it everyday for the full 30.

The first 4 days were rough, but I kept myself moving even if it meant modifying a little bit if I needed to.

I saw great results in those 30 days. Stick with it and be patient with yourself. Your muscles and joints are still going back to their old positions after shifting during pregnancy.

It definitely gets better. i could barely do a push up to start with and noticed a massive difference in my strength as I progressed with it. Keep going!

I had not done exercise of any kind before starting out on 30 DS. I couldn't walk for the first three days properly, but I still did it each day, Re-working the sore bits seemed to help, so don't give up. By day 10 I was doing all the programme with only a few moves modified. Level 2, day 1 was hard but I did not have the soreness the following day, despite different routines etc. Again as the days passed I was able to do more of the routine and do mostly unmodified. I did stop at Level 2 as I have started weight lifting 3 x week instead. Whilst doing the shred I did not lose as many pounds as I would have liked, but the inch loss was amazing - 3 inches from waist, 2 from hips and 2 from bust. I lost my muffin top around my middle within the 20 days.

Definitely keep going, putting it off will make it harder. You can do this.

Keep at it! I did it for the first time a few years ago. After the first week, it became easier (as in "I don't think I'm dying.") But, it's still challenging. I actually did level 1 for about 3 weeks because I was afraid of Level 2! Trust me, it's not that bad. Definitely more challenging, and I did need to modify a few things. But, totally do-able. Same for Level 3.

For me personally, I found that I needed to add another dvd that focused on abs to get them toned enough to suit me.

Now, I'm starting over (had baby #4 on 9/26!) So, I'm right there with you (but I have more to loose.)

Hi, I completed 30DS just at Christmas, it was tough at the start and some parts barely improved - I still can't do a 'proper' push up - but it DOES get easier, you WILL get stronger, and by the time you finish it you WILL want to do it again with increased weights! I originally used 2kg and have just started it again with 4kg (though there are some moves that I'll only be using 2kg for!).

I didn't lose much weight as that wasn't really my aim, but I do feel like it made a difference to my shape (pics on my blog http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/MrsSWW/view/30-day-shred-results-458975)

Stick with it, even if it takes you 60 days you WILL get there and you WILL see and feel a real difference :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
