Since I hit 40 I have hit a serious rut. In 2 years I have gained 20#. I've tried WW, South Beach, Calorie Counting etc. Has anyone tried eating for their blood type?

You are trying to make it complicated and probably going too low on calories and then you stall give up and gain back. First learn to breathe. Just start with small cuts when are where you can if you can not stick with anything.0

I was in that very rut but fought my way out.
If a slug like me can do it, anybody can.
As for eating for your blood type, it's junk science; however, it nailed me.
I was already drawn to the very foods that correlated my blood type, according to this particular guru.
Try it if you want; maybe it could do something for you.
Again, I am not backing those notions, but I am always willing to give something reasonable a try.

I heard about the blood type diet once here and looked it up. I'm not impressed personally, but you can make your own judgment - there's doesn't seem to be anything of the diet that is downright harmful.
Here's the links:

I have for a short period of time..I did lose, but felt terrible..I went over board and ate NOTHING that wasn't for my blood type. There is good and bad carbs.. I had no energy and I read where alot of people had lots of energy..This is what happen to me............A ketone test checks for ketones in your blood or urine. Ketones are substances that are made when the body breaks down fat for energy. Normally, your body gets the energy it needs from carbohydrate in your diet. But stored fat is broken down and ketones are made if your diet does not contain enough carbohydrate to supply the body with sugar (glucose) for energy or if your body can't use blood sugar (glucose) properly.
Some home blood sugar meters can also measure ketone levels in the blood. Home urine tests to measure ketones are available.
My husband made me stop..But I am o-..

Yep! After 40 my metabolism slowed down a tad and I became less active which equaled about 20 pounds more in weight...never tried the blood type diet...0
