Work day walking

I work in Nursing in a hospital and I am on my feet all day moving pretty quickly at times. Today I wore a pedometer and I took 12,486 steps and as part of a step challenge in the past I was told 2000 steps equal a mile. I walk at a speed of 4.5 or more on my teadmill so I move pretty quickly even with regular walking. Should I take this activity into account as part of my daily exercise or was this just part of the original equation to guess who many calories I should need daily to lose? After a day like today I feel like I got some exercise! thanks

you could enter in MFP that you're sedentary and THEN track that exercise. Or state that you're very active in MFP and not track that exercise. Does that make sense?0

that makes sense and after looking at some other similar questions others are not tracking an active day thanks!0
