Water Weight! Does it ever go away?

I understand that the human body retains water after exercising. Normally I exercise on every week day (Mon-Fri)... during the holidays I didn't every day. just once or twice a week. I've started back and I'm retaining water (my sodium intake is not high, I am drinking well over 8 glasses of water a day everyday) ....When will the water weight go away?

Water weight will go away when it wants too. One day you'll wake up and it will be gone. It's called the "woosh" effect. You will also retain water if you are eating too much of a caloric deficit. Just be patient.0

Thank you! That helps a lot0

This is my issue as well, and it's further compounded by my ridiculous sodium intake (which I'm trying to curb). Any tips for deflating? It's mostly that it's stupidly uncomfortable0

Seems to vary by person. Some people are just way more prone to retaining more water and longer than others. But some things do make me more likely to hang on to MORE water. Alcohol is a big one for me, unfortunately (I still drink sometimes, but I know I'm going to blow up like a balloon for a few days afterwards),0

Watching sodium is a given, but try to up your natural diuretics. Add lemon juice to your water and drink green tea. Both help shed some water weight and help me immensely.0

Will try, thank you!0
