Need advise or best idea for loose skin

I'm 41, I have been working out like crazy, and I've lost 22 pounds. Most of my weight is in the front. I have let myself go. I have had bad depression episodes because of life. My son has Autism and My husband who was the sweetest man in the world got hurt in the war. He now has PTSD's that have caused me to put myself last. I choose the day before Thanksgiving I need to stop doing that. Now that I have lost the 22 pounds and I have 54 more to go I notice my skin hanging more not less. Any help or suggestions on how to fix or burn the fat so atleast I can tone it somewhat. I won't have the money for a tummy tuck so whatever it looks like when I hit my goal is what it will be. I was never a skinny person, but my stomach before the kids wasn't ever this gross. Please help and thank you for your help.

I have an acqaintance who is a plastic surgeon. In a social situation, he advised me to wait two years after I've achieved my goal before pursuing surgical remedies. Granted I'm older than you, and heavier, but I think patience is a major factor. Exercise will help in the meantime.0

It really does take time as mentioned. Also, the faster you lose weight, the more of an issue it will be. Slow and steady!0

Thank you. In the beginning I lost the weight fast. Now it has slowed to about 2-3 pounds a week. I need to practice that patience part. Thanks0

They say it can take up to 2 years for your skin to retract after a big weight loss. It will more than likely never fully retract but you can help it now by drinking a lot of water to keep it hydrated and use lotion a few times a day.0

SLOWED DOWN to 2-3 lbs a week????!!!!! Still way too fast my dear! Really - it's not a race! Lotion is a good idea too! I use either Nivea with Q10 or Aveeno's similar product0

Thank you so much for this. I've been worrying about this, too, and it's good to know to be patient and see how it turns out.0 -
Try some weight lifting...Tone those muscles under that loose skin. Start small and slow and give your skin time to adjust to your new size.0

Yup.
Try doing leg raises with a weighted exercise ball between your ankles... one of the small ones, 1 - 3 pounds. That'll tighten it up some.0 -

yes yes yes if you are a fan of jillian michaels and/or biggest loser you know to do lots of strength and lose weight no faster than 2 lbs/wk0 -
Weight train weight train weight train. Mine has improved almost to the point of no sag since adding in weight/resistance training to my regime in October. I lost lots more than you too (63lb) and was stretched out from having my son (also Autistic - ohhhh the fun!!!)0
