I was wondering if anyone had an estimate on how many pounds do you lose to drop a size?? 10? 20? The reason I ask is because I go on summer vacation in July and I bought a swim suit 2 sizes smaller than what I am to try and fit into it before then... its kinda like my motivation hanging on my wall... but I was just wondering if Im setting my goal too high?

Thanks

Personally I have found it to be about 5 pounds lost means I need to adjust my clothes down a size.

<Edit>: so for me -- a 2 size drop between now and July would definately be doable. GO FOR IT!!!

I've heard the same thing, 5 pounds normally means a size.

I usually find that a stone is a dress size (a stone = 14lbs), but this is just a general rule. Cant wait to loose my first dress size! :o)
Congrats on the loss so far!

It takes about 10-12 pounds for me to lose a size. But I have a really muscular build anyway. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. Also, since I've gotten under 200 it takes less than the 10-12 for sizes to go down. It all depends on your size. But either way good luck reaching your goal!

For me, its 10 pounds generally to go from say, a 10 to an 8. (don't know if that is considered 1 size or 2...lol)
  • about 10-12lbs for me is to drop a pants size!
