I am going to start this program and I am worried about the foods I need to stay away from. I love sugar and chocolate. I know I cannot go cold turkey so how can I eat less and less and get rid of the sugars all together?

If you are really addicted going cold turkey will help. Can you choose a time when you are going to be really busy? After 3 days without sugar you will feel great and the physical craving will be gone.
If you cannot go cold turkey, try to eat very dark (at least 70% cocoa), high-quality chocolate, one very small piece at a time, without chewing it. It gives you a much bigger flavour burst than cheap / milk chocolate and I find it easier to eat only a small chunk.0 -
Everything in moderation! MFP is a calorie counter, if you eat a bit of chocolate that's fine so long as you stay under suggest calorie intake for the day. You can always do more exercise to boost it up, or cut down on other things. Make sure to eat a healthy diet though!0
