To all the folks just joining MFP, congratulations on your journey to a healthier YOU! Tracking what you eat and what exercise you get (or don't) each day lets you see what's going in and what's being used up. It will be quite enlighteing, since most of understimate what we eat, calorie wise.

I t took a while to put it on it will take while to get it off...this is a marthon, not a sprint. best wishes, and you can read the blog I just started for tips on how to stay on track!

My name is Jameka. I started MFP on 1/1/13. So far it has been really enlightening to know what exactly has been going in. I never paid much attention to calories in the past. Who knew alcohol contained sooooo much!!! My goal is to lose 30 pounds, keep it off, and be healthier :)

I am not new to MFP but I fell off the band wagon the first time after my mother passed away in April. Now I have decided to beat grief and depression and stop eating my feelings and start up again and could use the extra encouragement. I am trying to lose 60-70lbs. Feel free to add me.
