recipes on a low budget

I am rubbish at cooking and trying to think of things to cook that are low in caleries, does anyone have any recipes or know of any web sites where I can learn to cook on a low budget.

Any recipes would be good that DON'T contain, mushrooms, red meat, nuts or cream, sorry but im a fussy eater probably why i've put on so much weight :laugh:

I just get bags of frozen veggies stir fry mix, steam it in a microwavable steamer, add some minute brown rice and a tbsp of butter and BOOM! easy and i think its yummy.
