Getting back to the old "me"

Hi there,

I've tried a number of times to lose the weight I've recently put on, and I've never been able to be as consistent as I would like. I'm hoping to change that this time.

I'm a 24 year old male and weigh 254lbs. 5 years ago I weighed 165lbs. I went from Small / Medium clothing to Extra Large. Looking back at pictures of when I was skinny and athletic is painful.

I signed up for a gym membership at the start of the week, and have since been twice. I'm really going to give it my all this time. I want to be able to run 10K without stopping like I used to. I want to not be tired at 9pm anymore.

Any advice / encouragement / tips is greatly appreciated.

Good look to everyone and their goals.

Good for you, you can do it! Just try not to overload yourself in the beginning or you will burn out quickly. If you weren't working out before start at 2 or 3 days a week and then work your way up to doing more. If you go from nothing to trying to do extreme workouts every day you will overload yourself. Use small goals and the motivation you will get from here and you can accomplish anything.
