Hello myfitnesspal.com members,

My name is Dana and I am looking for friends to help keep me motivated for the 2013 year. I am turning 20 on the 13th of this month and I am wondering what types of excercises are good to do with a knee problem; I have Petella Femoral Syndrome. I walk and play Dance Dance Revolution and do some light cleaning around the house when I get the chance. So I was curious of what else I can do that isn't too difficult to do; I am not the most cordinated person.

Let's work together to make 2013 an excellent year.

Hi Dana, you might want to check with your doctor before doing any exercise but water aerobics don't usually put much stress on your knees. Most YMCA's have some kind of water Zumba or other type of aerobic water class. Walking is one of the best exercises you can do and if that does not hurt your knee, then try to walk about an hour a day. Walk as fast as you can. If you can easily sing while you are walking, you are not working very hard and could try to speed up. You are doing something great for yourself! Good for you!
