5 things that were positive today

hey guys, lots of people tend to focus on the negative, so just wanted to create a post where people can share 5 positive events or changes that have taken place today.
no negative nancies :P
1. this is tougher than i thought....
okay, 1. i ate pretty well today, no extreme treats like cookies or anything, just a chai latte
2. while doing ^^ i made a pretty nutritious, easy quick after gym burrito recipe.
3. i went running!!! and i pushed myself.
4. realizing that i will be stronger tomorrow than i was today, and that will keep me going.
5. i have a goal of getting to bed at a normal time!
okay, now fess up

1. The weather was beautiful outside today even though the forecast was for rain
2. I cleaned out a lot of unecessary items from my bed room to donate to charity this week
3. I exercised a little more today... slowly increasing each week
4. A friend came over with some late Christmas gifts for my family
5. I found an old roll of film(remember those?) when I was cleaning and can't wait to have it developed0 -
1. i made a salad to go with my lunch even though i didn't want to make it or eat it.
2. i pushed thru a yoga pose that i usually skip b/c it makes me want to faint, throw up, and cry all at the same time. neither of those happened though.
3. i ate according to plan, and made some good dinner choices.
4. i helped put away the christmas decorations with minimal *****ing and moaning. Note: not none, just minimal.
5. i spent some time thinking about some fitness challenges for the upcoming year.0 -
1. I worked out early and got a great workout this morning.
2. My daughter went out goofing off today and we went to eat mexican and I did pretty good - chicken fajita inside only & a little cheese dip & chips
3. My son is doing much better on his new meds and has a nice girlfriend
4. I bought 2 new books at the Used Bookstore
5. I burned over 2000 calories & hit over 10k steps today!

my bonus is I bought the 30 day shred & will start tomorrow!0 -
1. Slept through the night
2. Ate healthy all day
3. Cleaned the tops of everything in kitchen and it felt great
4. Took back a really bad lipstick and exchanged for a gorgeous new color
5. Did not yell at my granddaughters once0 -
Great idea for a thread!
1. I indulged in sleeping in this morning. I didn't get out of bed until 10:30 a.m. - and I'm almost 40!
2. Went out to breakfast at iHop and I ordered my favorite omelete and only ate 1/4 of it. It was nice to have the yum without the guilt
3. Had a great day with my husband and son. I love these laid back Saturdays.
4. My parrot has almost mastered her flying and now will land on you if you put your arm out.
5. I am now relaxing on the couch with hubs, in my sweats, surrounded by our animals.0 -

slept late
walked a mile to the supermarket and carried groceries home
had an hors doeuvre (sp?) sized breakfast just to see if I would be hungry by lunch- I was!
learned how to download library books to my ereader
one of the books is a vegan cookbook.
celebrate simple victories!0 -
1. Got off my lazy *kitten* and went to the gym this morning
2. Saw my friends unexpectedly at the mall and had fun c:
3. Instead of eating Burger King for lunch, I went to Mickey D's and got an ice cream cone (Low in cal, believe it or not)
4. The new sports bra I bought (which I couldn't fit into last year) fits perfectly
5. I ate well today and I'm also under my fat intake limit0 -
I love this thread!
1) I walked 3 miles this morning
2) I was able to spend the entire day with both of my children @ their swim meet
3) Several people noticed that I have lost weight & asked me about it
4) I was able to visit with an old friend today
5) I started a new book0 -
1. It snowed...beautiful when you are inside by the fireplace
2. Did a long work-out including Turbo Fire, abs, and stretch
3. Took a hot bubble bath
4. Talked to my hubby who is out of town
5. Journaled (1st time in a long time).:flowerforyou:0 -
1) I did 3 sets of 10 pushups.
2) I took a 4-hour nap (which my body needed because I've been sick).
3) I ate lots of fruits and vegetables.
4) I cooked dinner with what was in the refrigerator (I normally have a tendency to do big shops before cooking)
5) I think I have given my body enough rest and nutrition to start working out again tomorrow.0 -
1. Followed my plan and didn't cheat.
2. Did P90X workout and didn't get upset that I couldn't do some things.
3. Got Christmas decorations down,
4. Drank my water.
5. Planning my day tomorrow and know that this is a one step of a thousand!0 -

I love this thread!
1. I got in an extra long workout today.
2. The bronchitis I've had for 8 days and counting seems to be moving out.
3. I got to sleep in until 10:30.
4. I got a gorgeous bouquet from my husband yesterday for our anniversary that makes me happy every time I look at it.
5. I'm perfectly happy at this exact moment - laying on the couch, feet in husband's lap, playing on the computer, and watching a documentary about zombies lol. Life is good :flowerforyou:0 -

4) stayed under my calorie goal
5) headin' to bed early so I can get a solid 7
HEY, I didn't say it was exciting. But at my age 5 positive things take on a different scope :laugh:0 -
1) I stayed within my calorie goals
2) I worked a shift that was longer than 8 hours
3) I helped people at work today embrace their creativity through sewing, crafting, and fabric
4) I felt a spark in my own creativity
5) I live in a nice house, with a wonderful man, and an adorable dog.0 -

1- woke up to my beautiful son's face although he gave me a kick in my face lol!
2- went outside for fresh air and enjoyed my day with my family that came to visit.
3- opened more christmas/birthday gifts!!
4- excerised with my son in the room. and he silently watched me. usually he would try to take the dumbbell from me and I have to wait until he is sleeping.
5- made healthy choices while eating out!0 -
1, The weather outside was cool and crisp...delightfully so!
2. I had a smashing workout and kicked *kitten*!
3. I've had an enormous amount of energy all evening due to said workout.
4. There was cake at work...and I said no!!!
5. I'm only stuck at work for 2.75 more hours, then it's home sweet home!0 -

Got to see my daughter at work in the salon at her beauty school.
Had a delicious chickpea and manchego pancake.
Cat didn't chew through any cords today.
My new tablecloths arrived from Amazon.

1. Slept in (the beauty of having teenagers is you can!).
2. Walked 5 miles.
3. Read some articles I had put off for awhile.
4. Went out for dinner with my hubby and boys.
5. Enjoying a house full of teenagers who are awesome - they were waiting for a movie to download and had a competition putting together a 100 piece puzzle!0 -

4. Drank my water. (which is tough for me to do.)
5. Handed out some save the dates.(For my wedding.)0 -
1- ate a healthy breakfast ( my number one challenge as I have a hard time eating first thing.) this was day 4 in a row.
2- spent my day off out of the house with my family ( we dont go out much)
3- didnt get one phone call from work. - always get calls on my days off.
4- started my "resolution box"
5- made a homemade card to one of my dear friends ( one of my resolutions is to mail a letter/card/note to someone I love every month instead of texting or emailing. do it the old fashion way and tell them how they have impacted my life.0 -

Love this idea!
1. I was able to get out of bed without a lot of pain (back problems)
2. I made time to read my bible and pray.
3. Got some chores done.
4. Made up my weekly grocery list.
5. Got the best hug ever from my husband when he came home from work :blushing:0 -
1. Was watching my neighbors place, lost the keys and have been paranoid for 2 weeks that someone found the keys and broke in, he returned, no break in and all is good!
2. My dad treated my daughter and I out for dinner and still scored under my calories!
3. I noticed my skinny jeans are not so skinny anymore LOL! Who knew I'd be happy with saggy butt!
4. Life finally feels good
5. A beautiful snow is lazily falling0 -
1) Made healthier food choices all day
2) Felt more positive today than I have in months
3) Made several new friends on MFP
4) Spent quality time loving on my dogs
5) Instead of a ton of sugar I had a cup of cocoa when my sugar cravings kicked in

1. I slept in. I have to wake up at 4:30 for work, so sleeping in is amazing.
2. I had an awesome workout at the gym. When I left, my muscles were exhausted and I was spent. Usually only my trainer can do that to me.
3. My mom and I have been fighting for weeks. Things are finally starting to settle down.
4. My new VS bikinis came in the mail. They look fantastic and I can't wait for beach season.
5. The love of my life, who I broke up with last year when I moved 350 miles away, is finally making plans to visit me. And he wants to take me on a Caribbean cruise for my 30th birthday.0 -
