Question about calories

Should my calorie totals be changing daily? I am noticing that myfitnesspal changes my total amount of calories daily...a range of 1200-1700 in the past three days? I am new, this is my first three days.

Are you logging your workouts? If so mfp wants you to eat back your calories so it will add the calories you burned to your total calories for the day test you should eat.

MFP calculates a deficit without working in your exercise calories so you log those separate. When you log them, this amount is added into your daily calories allowed so that you will still net the correct deficit amount.

I am exercising...that makes sense...do you HAVE to eat those calories or can you leave your exercise calories alone?

No, you don't have to eat all those calories. But you don't want to have too much of a deficit over a period of time as it might approach an unhealthy rate of weight loss. I like to think about balancing my calories, exercise over a week's time.
