Weight Loss and Vyvanse

Hi,
I am a 19 year old female and I just decided that re-starting (haven't taken any since 6th grade) meds for my ADHD would be a good idea. The only this is I am trying to lose some weight and I am worried that the lack of appetite from the vyvanse will make my body go into starvation mode. I eat something small before I take it in the morning but then I can only eat small bites of things until about 7 at night. I end up only consuming like 600-1000 calories a day.
I am only trying to lose 20lbs so I'm not sure how fast I will drop weigh with the daily gym and vyvanse combo, but I just want to know if any one else has any solutions to this. I have heard the protein shakes are a good small snack that would help boost my nutrient intake.
Thanks
Jess

you could turn the period that the vyvanse ruins your appetite into an intermittent fasting period, maybe. consume all of your day's calories from 7 pm on?0

Someone I know was on vyvanse for about a year. He literally lost 100 pounds in that time without even trying. He got so sickly skinny it was scary. (6'1" and weighed 130). He got off vyvanse and then gained it some of it back.0

you may need to have your dose adjusted down or put on a non-stimulant medication for ADHD if thats the case. I would also suggest making sure you eat something pretty calorie dense first thing in the morning before you take it and then focus on getting the appropriate calories at 7pm. So essentially, eat something big when you first wake up in the mornings, take your meds, then eat heavily again between 7pm -10pm (or whenever you go to bed)0

I just started taking vyvanse. A good breakfast then Mini meals throughout the day works best for me0

You may be best not exercising until you have stabilised your eating habits. Can you eat more calorie dense foods in the daytime like hard cheese, avocado, nuts, seeds, canned oily fish, block creamed coconut, cocoa powder then eating large meals before you take the meds and after 7pm? Eating a square meal in the morning is nothing more than training your body to get used to it.0

I used to take Vyvanse and also Adderall XR..both had the same affect on my appetite...now I'm not on any medication.
But when I was I used to try to eat a big breakfast before I took my medication. Then once it kicked in I had no interest in food for the next 10 hours or so....so I just didn't eat. I ate a large dinner around 8pm...then went to bed.
I always lost weight on ADD meds, even if I did manage to force myself to eat lunch. I think stimulants used to increase my metabolism.0
