Books on Confidence?

Hi everyone! I am trying to work on improving my confidence as I am on this journey to lose weight. I have always believed that if I lose weight then I will magically just wake up and be confident at my goal weight. I finally have come to realize that it is more of an internal issue than I had once thought and that my weight/appearance is only one piece of the puzzle!!! I am a 21 year old girl and this lack of confidence is affecting every aspect of my life and I really need it to change before I'm scared to even talk to the cashier at walmart....

Has anyone read any books that have helped you be more confident or improve you self esteem?

Sure have, and it's true.. happiness and confidence are a choice. A lot of people think they need mind altering prescribed drugs to be happy. I was diagnosed with severe anxiety, depression (with suicidal tendencies) , ADD ..etc..etc I had a huge list of medications I was told would make me better.. Hah. I took it into my own hands and choose to change my thoughts on the world.

Dr. Norman Vincent Peale- The power of positive thinking

Napoleon HIll- Think and grow rich (classic)

    Maxwell Matlz- Psycho-cybernetics

Rhonda Byrne- The secret (also a movie on netflix)

Jeffrey Gitomer- Little gold book of YES

for examples.. once you get into the cycle, you'll find others.

I'm not sure if it's classed as a confidence book, but it worked for me. Who moved me cheese? Really helps you to reassess who you are and what you want.

Finding out that our body image and our self image should be separate from each other was really interesting for me to discover. Good luck on your journey! :flowerforyou:
