Hey I'm Dan, 29 in 8 weeks with a beautiful 9 month old daughter & wife, Currently weighing 114.3KG as of this morning, Goal weight 87 KG
Been calorie counting since 1st of Jan 2013 and have lost almost 9 pounds this week (4kg). I am really loving the Iphone App.
I've been struggling with weight since probably the age of 13. I have lost and gained weight over the years but really need to knuckle down and change my lifestyle and set the example for my family, I don't want my daughter to go through what i went through when I was younger. I don't want her eating any crap. I am currently pureeing all her fruit + veggies and steaming her protiens. I am a stay at home dad my wife works. I have been walking around 4km everynight when my daughter goes to sleep, with my wife running the business and me looking after my daughter I don't see me having any time for the gym atm which sucks, but oh well. if you have an extra 30 minutes or so or just 20 minutes you could do the 30 day shred by jillian michaels every day and get in some exercise there. Good job so far!0

Congratulations to you both on your baby girl! Absolutely 2013 will be a great year, and you bet you can DO this! The best part about this app for me is the ability to enter the ingredients, proportions and yields for a homemade recipe and then KNOW how many grams/servings you can budget into a meal or a day, and if you overspend on calories for the day, you KNOW how many to BURN to balance the budget and can find suggestions on activities here.
Saving meal menus and Copy Yesterday makes logging quick.
I think staying active and getting out and doing something every day (for the Vitamin D in the sunshine) is the key. The walking you are doing is great! Are you part of a local parents group? You might find some like minded parents willing to trade babysitting so that you can get gym/shop/down time. If not, you can still achieve a lot of good strength toning at home: whether shred, insanity, addonis, or your own design. Lately I've been reading "The Workout" by Gunnar Peterson. He breaks it down with really easy to get advice on how to design your own workout to suit your life.0
