judges everyone who disagrees with spelling of judgement. quietly makes list of usernames for future revenge. vows that "we hateses thems forever!!!"
aside (or sidebar)... both spellings are actually correct. in the UK, judgment infers usage in a legal context, as in the verdict of a court. use of the word outside of a legal context requires the addition of the "e", thus judgement. other English speaking countries each vary in usage. in the US, spelling for both contexts without the "e" is the norm, while in NZ, spelling with the "e" is the norm for both contexts. when i was a kid, i am pretty sure i was taught to spell it with an "e". i prefer it that way.0 -
