I just joined three days ago and I am looking for some constructive criticism and support. I was reading different posts and realize that it's bad that I've been eating below my 1200 calorie allowance, so ill start eating the 1200. However, is there anything else that you could suggest foods that I should eat to keep me full longer and that will be a better choice? Thank you for help.

I've had great success with Quinoa, it's a complete protein, low cals, low glycemic, there's a million recipes, and you can spice it up any way you like. It's good cold or hot, you can make it in bulk and put it in the fridge and easy for on the go ppl like me!!!!

    I like to add:

    Olive Oil
    Black pepper
    Himalayan Pink Salt,
Herb seasoning of any type with no added sodium
    A TON of minced garlic,
    Sauteed Mushrooms and onions
    Fresh Spinach

I think i'd like to add feta to it to next time cause i loooove Feta :)

I guess I'm a believer in eating the foods I like, but in moderation. If I don't eat what I like, I will get burned out fast. I also have to keep an eye on my sodium, or I will gain

For snacks, hard boiled eggs, apple with a tablespoon of peanut butter, and a palm size of roasted/salted almonds all help to keep me full until my next meal. Oatmeal in the mornings has been a filling, low cal and easy breakfast solution for me. My key is not letting myself get ravenous hungry...that really helps to keep me in control of what I eat. Good luck...you can do this!
