I'm 24 will be 25 in August. I've been skinny for as long as I remember...but the curse began...everyone in my dad's side of the fam starts to get fat at 25! So I gained 13lb in the last 2 months! I am going bananas. I have a very supporting bf and my mom is willing to exercise with me (she also needs it...she's so sedentary!) I have a huge butt which I want to be firm...in other words...i need a beach body by the summer and maintain it! I have never exercised in my life and eat 90% junk food and I am a surgarholic.. Also I work 2 jobs so barely have time to breath...the good side: I don't eat any red meats....

Hi! I can relate; I too am a sugar and foodaholic! I did the most amazing thing in the last 6 weeks though; I purchased the book: Zumba®: Ditch the Workout, Join the Party! The Zumba Weight Loss Program by Beto Perez and Maggie Greenwood-Robinson.
There is a fantastic eating plan in this book. It has helped me to get me off of refined sugars and carbs. If you stick to the eating plan, you will see amazing results. There's a 5-Day Express diet that you start with, as a cleansing device. I dropped 8 pounds that first week, and have lost 24 total in the six weeks I've kept with the Zumba diet!
Also, I'm completely addicted to Zumba. I hated working out before. No matter what I tried, I would always look at my watch and wish the minutes away until the workout was over. With Zumba, I feel the 60 minutes goes by too quickly. (They should pay me to be a spokesperson!)

OK - your comment re: " on the good side: I don't eat any red meats.... " hmmm? I am not sure why you say on the good side -as you do not need to deprive yourself of any food. if you do not eat red meat as a personal choice - so be it. Do make sure you watch you do not lack iron. All foods are fine - moderation is the key.
I am sure you will hear all kinds of input on meat/no meat; vegan , protein shakes, etc. Remember - do what works for you !0 -
