Starvification

I recently upped my activity, and have found myself to be starving! I didn't track well in December but managed without gaining any real weight. Now that I'm back on track and working out better and adding weights I am constantly hungry. I don't know exactly how many calories I'm burning, but 1300 calories just doesn't seem to be enough. How much should I up it? I'm going to try adding 250 more daily but I'm terrified of gaining. I'm 5'6 and at 198-197. My goal is to lose a pound to one and a half a pounds a week, I went from basically sitting around to being moderately active. Opinions? You can look at my diary, but my eating isn't the best but its better than some I've seen. :)

Saturday and Sunday are the only fully logged days. You are hungry. You have remaining calories on both days. The answer should be obvious here.

I agree with this....How do you know what your calorie goal is-did you check out helloitsdan's post yet? (http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12) How are you getting the number you're burning if you're not really sure-a HRM would help so you know.
  • I have other days towards the beginning of December and some days I logged on paper but not here. I just switched my goal due to my increased activity to 1420 from I think 1230. So, although it looks terribly bad and as if I haven't ate anything its far better than it seems. I only recently discovered myfitnesspal has a phone app, so its really made all the difference. Also, to be honest I have no clue what I'm doing. So, please don't think too harshly.
  • Had I searched I would have found it easily. Thank you!!! That is amazing and I will try to revamp my diet ideas tonight.
