Tea VS Water

So I wanted to get some input... I'm a big water drinker (about 10-12 glasses a day), however lately I've found that if I drink tea/green tea, it curbs my appetite much better than water. I only buy 0 calorie tea.

Do you think tea/green tea is just as good for the body as water, since it is mostly water?

I do a lot of green tea. I like to mix it up, I get a bit bored with just water. Water and lemon, or lime... Anything to make it more exciting! I do think it is just as good for you. With tea though, I am cautious about dehydration. If I drink a cup of coffee, I follow it with a cup of water.

I use a lot of mio with my water, so its not a boredom thing. Its just a hungry thing. Haha.

Yes, Yes, Yes. During the summer I would drink a 1/2 gallon of iced green tea a day. I add stevia, not a fan of lemon. Now that I'm trying to drink 1/2 my body weight in water, I may go back to drinking the 1/2 gallon of green tea, it goes down a lot easier than just plain old water. There are a lot of health benefits from drinking green tea, such as cancer fighting antioxidants and some studies show that it increases metabolism, though that one is debatable.

Good to hear! I was STARVING after lunch, so I made some Tazo Zen Green Tea and BAM - not hungry anymore.

Most teas, loose leaf and bagged, are zero calories. Make sure you are not loading it with calories from sugar, honey, etc. While these things are ok in moderation, if you drink 10-12cups of tea with sugar/honey/etc things add up. Not sure what your stand is on artificial sweeteners, but personally, I would highly recommend that you drink the tea as is.

if you are putting mio in your water, then drinking tea is at least no different - probably healthier. Most people are primarily concerned with caffeine in tea and I believe mio has more (not sure and it all depends on how much you use)
