A New You?

I've been a member here for a while, but have decided to start sticking to my diary properly. However, as I was browsing peoples success stories and seeing photographs of the new shape, size and person they have become it occurred to me, I have no idea what I look like thin. I am 20 and am overweight. I have tried on and off to loose weight, but I have not been dedicated. But now I want to and I want to see the new me!

So. my question is: Did/Do you know what the 'new you' will look like? Did/Do you like the 'new you'? What are your stories if you wish to share? Share pics if you want!!

May I also say a simple, 'Good Luck' on your journey :)

Welcome back! I knew what the 'new me' would look like because my weight gain was fairly recent. My profile pic shows my progress so far. I still look like me, just thinner with better defined features. The more important thing for me is that I feel better. I'm very happy with my success and look forward to continuing to improve all aspects of my life. It's not all about a number on the scale, it's about health, happiness, and self-confidence. I would wish you good luck but luck has nothing to do with it; it takes motivation and determination so instead I will wish you much success! :flowerforyou:

I've wondered a lot about this as well. I honestly can't remember a time when I was ever skinny, and worry that I won't like what I see when I get there. :ohwell:

I honestly had no idea what the "new me" would look like. I thought I'd look like I did before I gained all of my weight(back when I was a teen). I look completely different, but in a good way! I'm happy. :) Here are my pics & goodluck to you! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/842133-96lbs-gone

I have an idea of what I'll look like. I haven't always been overweight, but it's been 5 years and I have definitely grown and changed. When I think of what I'll look like at my end goal, I picture myself before I got fat. But realistically I know I won't look exactly like that. I am 5 years older and some changes in my body were permanent when I gained weight (like stretch marks).

Before I started losing weight I remember when I'd look in the mirror I felt like I was looking at someone else. That wasn't me looking back, it was someone else. Even though I've lost over half of the weight I want to, I still don't feel like it's me looking back. Maybe when I get to my UGW I will.

Good luck with your weight loss journey!

Just from looking at your profile picture, I can see that you are beautiful! But I understand, I wonder everyday if I will like how I look once I get to my UGW.
