Leslie Sansone's Walk off the pounds dvd's

I know this has been asked before, but I'll ask again. How would I log a walk with Leslie Sansone? Her walk dvd's are more than just walking. There's some cardio in them. The dvd I have: Walk off the pounds has kicks, side steps, kick backs, arm raises and some stretching during the cool down.

I am doing walk exercises off of the cable channel. What I did was go to Goggle and goggle in how many calories does certain exercises burn. They have a chart that you put your weight and the amount of time you do the exercise and it calculates it for you.

I have a HRM but if I didn't I would be inclined to still just enter it as walking.
  • I enter it as low impact aerobics. I'm about to do one in a few minutes!

I use my HRM and log the calories that I've burned, I create my own exercise. If I didn't, i would probably log it as walking, because I wasn't burning as many calories as I thought I was before I got my HRM. I still love her DVD's though and its great exercise!

either log it under walking or invest in an HRM to try to more accurately get your calories burned and create an exercise with the dvd name.
  • I log the 1 mile as a 20 minute walk (the whole thing is 20 minutes with warm up and cool down) at a moderate pace...101 calories...I don't have a HRM so I googled it and for my weight seems about on par with what I found..
