I'd like to be able to practice yoga from home when it works for my schedule. Can someone recommend a good DVD please? I am beginner to intermediate level. Thanks!

I have been doing yoga on and off for years...mostly off until recently. I stumbled across Namaste yoga on youtube. It is also a podcast on itunes. EXCELLENT and free! Instructor is Dr. Melissa West and a whole series of beginner poses. I thought i knew alot already...but I have learned so much in doing and viewing her instruction. These classes are approx. and hour but there are shortened ones too on you tube. Worth your while to check it out. Namaste!0

I have a couple DVD's done by Element - different instructors. I like them both - one is AM and PM yoga and one is for stress release and flexibility. Each DVD has two workouts and they were really cheap on Amazon.0

Gaiam makes some good ones. I really like Rodney Yee and Yoga for Weight Loss is a good one.
There are also a ton of routines online.
Just be careful if you're a beginner and aren't as familiar with the poses. You can injure yourself without guidance.0 -
Have you thought of renting some from the library? Ours has tons and if you end up not liking it you can just return it! good luck with everything!0

I've shared this a couple times. Yoga and Pilates are all I do. Love it.

I used to do Rodney Yee yoga DVDs back in the day, I really enjoyed them. I think I will start with them again.0

I have a bunch of yoga DVDs, and most have been mentioned.
I repeatedly come back to Bryan Kest's Power Yoga DVD--it's nice that it has three different levels, and it is the most like Vinyasa classes I've gone to.
The Shiva Rea DVD, Yoga Shakti, is customizeable--and you can really challenge yourself on some of the poses she demonstrates. I am not crazy about her "dance moves" though.
Barbara Benagh's DVD, Yoga for Beginners, is a quite nice beginner video. She has a great peaceful voice, and she focuses on alignment and gives clear directions that work even when you are not looking at the screen.
I have a ton more, but these are good starters.0 -

Another vote for the Bryan Kest DVDs. Great sessions that work you hard but leave you feeling refreshed.
Also, nice mix of "physical awareness" and work-out - not too "airy fairy/hippy dippy" but not too "Let's work out!" either.
I have a few Yoga DVDs and I always come back to these.0 -
My #1 Suggestion is Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown DVD. has levels 1 &2 and easy/Hard for each0

I like Rodney Yee's am/pm YOGA. It gives you a slow warmup up and to wake you up. I have been using it off and on for the past 3 years.0

Rodney Yee's yoga AM is fantastic. Short and very effective.0

Bob Harpers yoga dvd. my roomate brought one of his dvds home, its really good, and you see the girls struggling at times. You will feel it, and its victorious if you make it to the end. Forgot the name but i know you can find it on amazon! Good luck!0

The Yoga Journal had a series of 3 dvds that are good. You can get them for around $25 on Amazon, or order 1 at a time for less. They really focus on form and help you complete a beautiful, flowing routine. I finally learned how to transition between poses by rolling over my toes from this DVD.0

I just started using YogaGlo.com and really love it. You can tailor your work out to the amount of time you have, part of the body you want to work and your ability level. You can do a 30 day trial for free.0
