fiber without supplements? goal of 40-45g! I'm g.f !

I'm gluten free and have a sensitive stomach.
i don't want to take fiber supplements, like the fiber gummies.
I already get around 20-25g but I was instructed by my doctor to raise it to 40-45g.
I also don't know where I'm supposed to fit them into my diet calorie wise (my goal is 1200-1300 calories a day ) and i feel like my carb intake would also rise up A LOT.

i'm not sure how my stomach would handle a lot of beans since I don't usually eat beans, so I don't really know what to do.
Any ideas?

  • I put two tablespoons on Fiber One cereal (the twiggy kind) for breakfast - it's like 23g fiber. I'm targeting 1200 a day myself, and this breakfast fits in nicely.

What about ground flax seeds? It's not a supplement per se, and it's high in fiber and low in carbs. Plus you can mix it in just about anything. Cereal, oatmeal, smoothies, juice etc. I've even heard of it being used as the base for chicken batter for oven fried chicken.

    Ground flax or chia.
  • I ended up going to my health store and talking to them.
Going to be adding berries, flax seeds, and chia seeds to my diet.
    Thanks!
