Many diet books/sites recommend you weigh yourself no more than once a day at roughly the same time - I usually weight first thing in the morning, before eating and after i've been to the toilet. Got to admit, i havn't been measuring myself, just going by how my jeans feel :P0

It's totally up to you really. I weigh weekly and don't measure. Though if I were to measure, I'd say weekly probably is a bit often to see much change, but monthly might be a good length of time. Do whatever you feel comfortable with.0

Once a day is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too often though! Don't do that, you'll get obsessed with teeny tiny moves on the scales and feel you've failed when you gain 0.1lb!0

I weigh once a week and tape every two.0

I weigh twice a week (though only log changes once) and measure once. I'm glad I started measuring as my weight loss is small compared to my inches lost.0

I weigh every day.
Gives you a boost if you've lost a pound or so, and if you've gained you know to watch what you eat during that day0 -

Whenever you like!
i weigh myself once a week because I can't stand the normal daily fluctuations. Drives me nuts. So I weigh in ONCE on Saturdays and that's it.0 -
I say every two weeks for weighing in and every week for measuring.0

thankyou for a your replys i think i will weigh once a week and check inches monthley.0

I sometimes go 4 or 5 weeks. Since I KNOW I am eating at a calorie deficit, I trust that eventually I will see a loss. I don't feel under any particular pressure to document every little change.0

I weigh in every day and measure once a month0

I weigh at least twice a week. Thursday's and Monday's usually. I wish I would have measured from day one. I started measuring in December. My journey started around the end of May however I really started in August but didn't take it serious until October.
Measuring is the true issue. I've seen some success stories that are far above my original goal weight but I would rather have their muscle tone.0 -
I weigh myself weekly and measure myself monthly. Seems to work out well for me.0

I weigh once a week at the same day and time, also using the same scales whould be a good thing. Didnt measure but go on how well my clothes fit.0

I weigh weekly and measure monthly0

I weigh myself weekly and measure and take progress pics once a month. In my opinion, it really depends on how much weight you have to lose. I'm fairly close to my goal weight and am mostly working on body recomposition at this point, which is a slow process. It does me no good to measure or take pictures more often than monthly because there just isn't enough of a change from week to week. But if you've got a lot of weight and inches to lose, it may be motivational to have more frequent progress checkpoints.0
