How often do you weigh yourself?

Just wondering what's the right way to weigh! :-)

Usually every 2-3 days, though I'm trying to get back to weighing only 1x/week. There's no right amount to - some people find weighing daily helps them feel accountable, others like to weigh over time intervals like 1x/week or 1x/month to see overall progress and not be discouraged by daily fluctuations. Either way works - just make sure you weigh at the same time of day each time (i.e. weighed last Sunday right after waking up, do the same thing the following Sunday)0

But, to answer your question, once a week. Anymore than that and I start getting paranoid about the general ups and downs of the week.0 -
I'd go fortnightly for first 3 months just so you know you are hitting (and maintaining) the mark with your balance of food and exercise output....... then after that let your clothes be the feedback........after all it's about you feel yourself not what some chart tells you you should be :-)0

Once a week, try and keep it to the same day and time every week as your weight tends to fluctuate throughout the day due to eating and toileting. once you get into the habit it becomes easier to remember. And always use the same scales!0

I don't remember the last time. That number really doesn't mean anything to me. Its about measurements and building muscle0

i got into the habit of weighing myself daily, and really didnt want to do that. so ive decided to just weigh every sunday.0

Once a week. Naked and same time / day I find works best for me.
I resist the temptation to get on and off the scales during the week as a rise in weight may reduce my motivation.....

Definitely once a week otherwise it can become an obsession and also your weight can fluctuate due to several variables on a daily basis so same time same place wearing the same each week is good.0

I do it daily too.
I know i shouldnt but its a habbit. Weight check coffee then shower. I post results weekly. And i find if iam gaining within the week i ttry to do more cardio. Its inspires me to do more. Hope that helps.0 -
Last time I did it was November 11. I just go by my jeans now0

I weigh myself everyday. For me, daily weigh-ins keep me accountable, and I've learned not to be frustrated or discouraged by fluctuations. I like to record my weight on a calendar & it helps me notice trends in my weight fluctuation. Plus, the periods where I didn't weigh in everyday I gained weight back.0

Every morning after I get up. I pee first and then weigh. It helps me keep track of what is going in my mouth! :laugh:0
