What is the correct comment reply procedure???

If someone leaves a comment on my wall I would assume I'd just reply within the comment left on my wall...but I've heard people say "you're suppose to then reply on their wall" or seen that they'd reply back on the other persons wall.....whaa? That doesn't seem to make sense though. Why not just keep the convo within the first original comment.

You reply on their wall otherwise they have to keep checking your wall to see if you replied, and that's just rude to make them keep checkign your wall.

Also be sure to comment in formal wear. With raised pinkie finger.

Follow up with an invitation private message to look at your wall for any other postings, and a note declaring your intent on wall posting.

Unfortunately, this site doesn't send notifications when you reply to someone on your own wall, so you have to reply on the person's wall so the person gets a notification. It's just more likely to be seen that way.

They send you an email notice. Everytime someone comments on my wall post, sends me a message or friend request, or posts on my wall, I get a notice in my Yahoo account.
  • I have an internal conflict with myself on this issue on a daily basis. Lol.

Whenever someone posts a comment on my wall, I usually respond with a post on their wall. No big deal. That way they are sure to catch it.

The only way that they receive a notification that you responded is if you reply on their wall. If you're having a conversation, I usually then just comment on my first posting on their wall. I do have to say, however, I sometimes forget and just post on their comment on my wall . . . but this ain't facebook.

Haha, it's definitely a thing. That's what all my friends do. most of them anyway. Some of them need to learn I don't want to go check their profile every hour or so to see if they replied to me!! I won't name any names.... :grumble:

Yes, but they don't get notifications when you reply on your own wall posts or things they posted on your wall. Only when you post on THEIR walls.
