2012 was a hard year

Well, I'm coming back to try to get myself back on track for 2013. In 2012, I came down with colon cancer. After I had surgery (which they say they got it all, no chemo or radiation thank God) I was still not getting better. Finally got diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Now that I am gluten free, I do feel a whole lot better. Next month I go in for my first colonoscopy since the surgery. Boy am I scared.

Since I eat for comfort and I am a 59 year old single woman (twice divorced) I have regained the weight I lost after my surgery plus a bunch! I have turned into a total hermit and would rather sit in my chair and eat and watch TV than anything. That is so not me!

So I'm back and would love to connect with some Kansas people who would give me some support and I could support them in return. I've got over 100 pounds to lose - actually more like 150! It seems like Mount Everest!

I did not go through the same situation as you, but 2012 was also a hard year for. I lost my mother (my absolute best friend) and I took it really hard. I gained so much weight & now I'm at my highes weight ever. I definitely need support as well, because I haven't been able to stick with it. I'm not from Kansas, but feel free to add me. I too have 100+ lbs to lose.
